We had a busy weekend full of fun for the kids and a night out for Steve and me. We started with a workout at the Y, of course. We didn't realize it was "Breakfast with Santa" day, so we were there a little longer than planned. Sarah decided she wanted to sit on Santa's lap, Carolyn wanted to watch from afar and Barrett just walked around eating all the grapes he could find! When Sarah told Santa what she wanted for Christmas (princesses), he told her that she was a princess and Jesus wanted Santa to be sure to tell her so. I thought that was so sweet. I didn't even tell him to say that! She had fun. They all did. Can't you tell by some of the pictures? :-) They also did some ornament painting. Then, off to Nana's. She's had them a lot the past couple of months as they have been making Christmas presents together and it's allowed Steve and I some alone time, which is always nice. The kids have had a blast! They went to see a living Nativity that a local church has put on for the past 18 years-rain, snow, sleet or shine! We stopped by on our way out of town tonight. It was amazing! It started with Adam and Eve in the garden to explain why we even needed a Savior to be born. Then, about Noah, the angel speaking to Mary and Joseph, Jesus' birth, death, resurrection and Second coming! I love that they did the entire story to relate the relevance of why we celebrate Jesus' birth. There were some truly dedicated people out there tonight sharing the glorious story of our wonderful Savior and how He came to give eternal life to all who will come to Him. Truly beautiful. The girls have been several times with my mom, but it was Steve's and my first time. We'll be going back. Steve and I also had a fun night out for his company Christmas party last night. We had a really great time and even won a movie pass! When we got home, we were surprised with Colts tickets from a dear friend. Since the kids were at mom's, it was the perfect time to go. We felt like we were newly married, doing all these kid-free activities! A wonderful weekend was had by all.

It sounds like such a great weekend! Joshua and I have been looking for some events to go to (concerts, nativities, etc.) as we celebrate the season. We had such a wonderful time with you and the family on Friday - thanks again! (oh and many, many thanks for sending those websites - I have signed up with nearly all of them! You're so thoughtful!)
