Amazing Race

Ever heard of the Amazing Race? You know, the TV show? Well, I have some friends here in Indianapolis who are putting on a race like that here in town. Some other friends did this awhile back and everyone who participated had a fabulous time! I'm attaching the details. Steve and I are taking a break from moving to do this-that's how much fun it's going to be! If you are interested, let Lisa or Julie know or just sign up! Would love to see you there!

Join us for a race around the Circle City
Top two teams donate money to a charity of their choice

Who: Teams of two – ask anyone you want to be your racing partner;
feel free to pass this on to other friends!

What: CBS style race around Indianapolis. Race will last a good chunk of the day
(depending on your speed!). Pitch-in style picnic will follow at the final pit stop.

Cost: $25 per team (capped at 15 teams). The money will be donated to the
top two teams’ charity of choice. Each team will need a car and a tank of gas.
Some money for parking costs might be an advantage, but not required.

Why: For something fun to do; to donate some money to a charity;
to raise awareness of all the great charities that people care about;
to possibly get to know some new people in your community

How: Register by September 30, 2009 by emailing bldeakyne@sbcglobal.net
with the names of each racing partner, how you know each other, and a
paragraph describing the charity you are racing for and why.
Entrance fee due at time of registration. No refunds after October 1.
Details about the starting point will be sent out the week of the race.

If you have a family member racing, and want to be a part of the “clue crew” to help
pass out clues, let us know! You’d then be welcome at the picnic. 
